After our breakfast, we will drive through the scenic Pokhara-Baglung Highway. Enjoying the view of the rolling hills, terraced farming, and glimpses of snow-capped mountains, we will leave behind the bustling city life and embark on an adventurous trail. From Birenthati, we will walk through the Magar villages, where rice paddies and bamboo groves surround our trail, and the Modi River flows close by. Steadily gaining elevation, we will reach the town of Tirkedhunga, where the paved pathways and houses on both sides of the narrow trails welcome us. Crossing the suspension bridge, our journey will take us through a challenging staircase in the lush green hills and to a cozy teahouse. After completing the 3200-step staircase, the sky will be open, offering incredible views of the surrounding mountains —a reward for our demanding ascent. Rising in the crisp air of the countryside, we will enjoy the morning view of the snowcapped peak in the distance and listen to the chirping of the birds. After coming out of the forest, we will reach the small hamlet of Banthanti. After a short tea break, our walk resumes through the denser forest area, which will lead us to Nangethati. The uphill climb from the village will lead us to the famous Ghodepani (Ghorepani) (2860m). Once a renowned town for the caravans, traders stopped in the village to let their horses drink water. The village is densely packed with tea houses and is probably the most visited village in the Annapurna region. Accommodation: Mountain Tea Houses Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

After the magical sunrise view, we will descend back to our camp and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Our second leg of the day will lead us through an uphill climb over hilly grassland with distant mountains on the side. On the Deurali pass, we will enjoy another scenic view of the mountains, and then we will descend into the forest, passing through rhododendron trees. Walking beside the cold streams of the river, we will reach Ban Thati, from where we will need to traverse the ridge line to come all the way down to the Modi River. Crossing the bridge, we will pass through dense forests toward Sinuwa (2340m). Overpassing the lovely villages of Upper and Lower Bamboo, the trail gets more alpine and barren. After passing the Himalaya Hotel (2920 m), our path becomes more scenic with the mountain views and the fiercely roaring Modi River. The sacred mountain is forbidden to climb as the Gurung community believes it to be a home of the Hindu God of destruction, Lord Shiva. From the base camp, we will also get a fantastic view of Annapurna luring us with its majestic beauty. Passing the cozy teahouses, we slept in before; we will reenter the bamboo and rhododendron forests. The air gets warmer, and the increase of oxygen in the atmosphere can be felt dramatically.
